How to Stack Amazon Coupons and Promo Codes for the Lowest Price

To stack Amazon discounts, clip the on-page coupon first, add the item to your cart, then enter the promo code at checkout and confirm both a “Coupon” line and a “Promotion applied” line in your order summary. Stacking only works when the seller has allowed the two promotions to combine; if Amazon shows just one discount, the seller has blocked it.
What stacks on Amazon and what does not
| Combination | Does it stack? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Coupon + promo code | Sometimes | Seller decides. This is the most common stack and the one worth trying every time. |
| Coupon + Subscribe & Save | Often | Many coupons are “Subscribe & Save coupons” that only work with a subscription. |
| Promo code + Subscribe & Save | Rarely | Most codes are set for one-time purchases only. |
| Promo code + promo code | Never | Amazon applies one promotion code per item. |
| Lightning Deal + anything | Never | Lightning Deal prices cannot be combined with coupons or codes. |
| Any discount + gift card or Amazon Pay balance | Yes | Gift cards are a payment method, not a promotion, so they always apply. |
Step by step: stacking a coupon and a promo code
- Open the product through the deal link on findscheaper.com/deals so you are on the correct listing and seller.
- On the product page, click Clip coupon (or the “Save $X” box). Do not skip this; coupons only apply if clipped before checkout.
- If the page shows “Save X% with promo code”, click Apply or Redeem there as well.
- Add the item to your cart and click Proceed to checkout.
- On the payment step, find “Gift cards & promotional codes”, type the code, and click Apply.
- Check the order summary on the right. You want to see two lines: one for the coupon and one that says “Promotion applied”.
- If only one discount shows, the seller has not allowed stacking. Keep whichever discount is larger and place the order.
Why stacking fails
- The seller blocked it. When a seller creates a promotion, Amazon lets them choose whether it can combine with other promotions. Most codes shared by creators are set to allow the coupon, but not all.
- You picked Subscribe & Save. Switch to “One-time purchase” and try the code again.
- Wrong variant or seller. The coupon and the code must both belong to the exact offer in your cart.
- The coupon budget ran out. Coupons stop working when the seller’s budget is spent, even if the box is still visible.
- Quantity limits. Many promotions apply to one unit only. Extra units in the cart are charged full price.
A quick example
A kitchen gadget lists at $39.99 with a $8 clip coupon and a 40% promo code. Clip the coupon, apply the code at checkout, and if the seller allows both, the math is $39.99 minus 40% ($16.00) minus $8.00, for a final price of $15.99. If only the code applies, you pay $23.99. Either way, the price in your order summary is the one that counts.
Frequently asked questions
Do I clip the coupon before or after the promo code?
Before. Clip it on the product page, then enter the code at checkout. Coupons are not applied retroactively.
Can I stack a promo code with a Lightning Deal?
No. Lightning Deal prices are final and do not combine with coupons or codes.
Can I use two promo codes on one order?
You can enter different codes for different items in the same order, but only one promotion code applies per item.
